Who I Am

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Approved Supervisor, Professional Consultant, and Trainer. I have had the opportunity to practice in this field since 2006 working with children and adolescents ages 0-17, adults, families, and couples. The settings I have worked in include family and community agencies, hospitals, courts, schools, medical facilities, mental health programs, and chemical dependency programs. As a professional, I value having an authentic relationship with the people I serve, by being genuine, honest, and respectful throughout this process with you. Often people say, I have a warm, caring and welcoming approach.

Starting as a young child, I became fascinated with people and humanity. Since, I have wholeheartedly enjoyed helping people. My work in this profession is deeply committed to issues of equity, inclusion, and diversity and it will continue to be an ever-evolving, life-long journey. I have had the opportunity to work with people from respective diverse backgrounds, cultural experiences, across different ages of groups, socio-economic backgrounds, and various walks of life. I value being an advocate to others and helping people navigate systems of oppression. I have listened to others share their stories, experiences, watched them learn and grow, witnessed challenges in which they overcame, and all the various feelings and emotions they experienced whether sad or happy, and everything in between.

I strive for the highest level of practice standards and I continue to pursue training and educational opportunities to enhance my clinical skills. I am a certified Child Mental Health Specialist and one of only two nationally certified TF-CBT therapists north of Snohomish County.

“Compassion is not a relationship between the healer and the wounded. It’s a relationship between equals. Only when we know our own darkness well can we be present with the darkness of others. Compassion becomes real when we recognize our shared humanity.” -Pema Chodron
